Top 10 Texas Hold'em starting hands

1) Ace Ace
Commonly know as "American Airlines" or "Pocket Rockets"
Be careful how you play these, seen them burn up on liftoff many many times. Frankly I hate them and often toss them pre-flop.

2) King King
Names such as "King Kong" and Kowboys. Some pros suggest that you play these the same way you would you Aces in the hole, which is an all in move pre-flop. I do prefer these to pocket Aces, If I told you why I would have to kill you! :-)

3) Queen Queen
The third best starting hand is know as "Ladies"

4) Ace King ( suited )
Know as "BIG Slick" A great starting hand. Some say that is does not matter if it is suited or not and should be played the same.

5) Ace Queen ( suited )
AKA "BIG Chick" or "Little Slick" is in the middle of the field for the top ten best .

6) Jack Jack
Know as "Fish Hooks" or just "Hooks" This name is perfect. If I had made the top ten list I would not place this as sixth. I hate this hand and get hooked with the buggers 9 of 10 times.

7) King Queen ( suited )
Thee Royal couple suited is the seventh best texas hold'em starting hand.

8) Ace Jack ( suited )
Ole "Black Jack" is the name of this beauty.

9) Ace King ( off suited )
Big Slick off suite is the 9th best starting hand and like this myself before the Pocket Rockets.

10) Ten Ten
Last of the ten best starting hands in holdem that has no face card. AKA "Dimes"
