When playing poker it is cruciall to know which hands beat which. Below are the best to worst ranked poker hands in hold'em, stud and most games of poker unless stated.
Royal Flush
The Very Best Hand in All Poker
Ace, King, Queen, Jack and 10, all of the same suit.
Straight
Flush
Any sequence of the same suit
(e.g.: 9, 10, J, Q, and King of hearts).
Four
of a Kind
All four cards of the same value
(e.g.: 4, 4, 4, 4; or Queen, Queen, Queen, Queen).
Full
House
Three of a kind combined with a pair
(e.g.: 6, 6; with King, King, King or with Ace, Ace).
Flush
Any cards of same suit, but not in sequence (e.g.:
4, 5, 7, 10 and King of spades).
Straight
Not of the same suit (e.g.: 9 of clubs, 10 of clubs,
J of clubs, Q of clubs and King of hearts).
Three
of a Kind
Three cards of the same value (e.g.: 3, 3, 3; or
Queen, Queen, Queen).
Two
Pair
Two separate pairs (e.g.: 2, 2, King, King).
Pair
Two cards of the same value (e.g.: K, K).
High
Card
Only when none of the above combinations appear.
