Thanks
for checking out this weeks tips
I
would like to first clarify exactly what a fish is, or
what the general consensus seems to be.
Typical
example of a " FISH " is one that loves to chase hands. Will even fish all the way to
the river and in most cases has jack squat in his hand. Chaser and
RiverRats are also among the other commonly know names that apply.
The FISH who is in every hand it seems and will catch the river
card for what should have never been a hand to begin with. This
happens all the time with their 27 off suit and drives some players
nuts, especially when they had the nuts with pocket aces right up
till the river.
Personally
I have no problem with fish. Every room has one. In fact, I love
fish. They are my bread and butter so to speak. If
any of you have played with me at a table you know what I am talking
about.
My
style of play is to weed out the fish right away. First thing I
do before the game even starts is give a good luck to the entire
room, and then I also say
" Oh Ya, Fish and RiverRats
too "
Why I do this is very simple. It is my style of play. It does not
always work but on occasion the fish will make himself known right
away. No, not by a big hello its me over here, but with some quick
retort or reply.
Any
response is exactly what I look for. This gives me an edge and in
poker any edge gives you the upper hand. I come across as a bully
and loudmouth but that is not really who I am. That is just my style!
and that is really what this week tip is all about more than the
poor little fish, that loves to chase.
With
this style of play I find him quicker, use this against him and
get the upper hand. Can put him in tilt mode and have many other
great advantage with this style of play.
Whether
you are a fish, a chaser of what ever the current term may be it
does not matter. It is just a style of play. Not a very good one
and most common to new players. The
most important part of the game I believe is to formulate a style.
Try several different ones until you find one that you like and
works for you, or formulate your very own like I have.
Just
stick with one and no matter what your style is, you will see your
game dramatically improve.
Extra
Fish Tip. If you don't want to get bitten by the fish.
Don't go in any hands with them unless you got the nuts... Or just
leave em to me.. o)
Thanks
again for stopping by and check back soon for our new tips on TILT
players.
Good
Luck and I will see you FISH at the tables

"How To Take Advantage Of Bad Players"
The increase of poker popularity has led to a flood of fish who are just WAITING for you to take their money.
Seriously.
These fish are untalented, undisciplined, and lack the fundamental skills to succeed in Texas Holdem. These players think that since they have seen a few episodes of the World Poker Tour, they are poker pros.
If you want to make money playing Texas Holdem, you need to learn to take all the money from these novices before they give it to someone else.
There are many ways that you can bankrupt the bad players at your table. These methods are tested and proven and can give you an advantage over everyone else at the table.
These methods include...
1. Fake Weakness
It seems that everyone over-estimates their own poker ability. Bad players usually think they are one of the best players at any given table.
This false sense of ability will lead bad players to attempt to buy virtually EVERY pot.
This over-aggression makes weak players especially vulnerable to check-raises and slow playing good cards. When you have the nuts, DON'T lead out with a big bet (like you should against a good player), instead slow play the hand and let the novice try to buy the pot.
2. Destroy Their Game Plan
Usually a novice's plan will depend on his ability to bluff effectively. If you are able to remove a significant section of their stack, you will destroy their game plan and put yourself on the fast track to the chip lead.
3. Show No Respect For Weak Bets
A bad player will fear losing all their chips on a mediocre hand. This means they will often make small bets on the turn and river. Show ZERO respect for these bets. Making a large raise over these weak bets will often scare away bad players leaving you with the pot.
4. Face Bad Players "Heads Up"
Since good players and bad players require different strategies, try to force other players out of hand before clashing with a weak player.
Eliminating other players will reduce the amount of possibilities you have to consider. This will allow you to focus more on how to scare away weak players.
5. Always Have A Decent Hand
Even if you play your hand flawlessly, a bad player may call all your bets with nothing but an Ace high.
This is very frustrating, but very common. In fact, I know many poker professionals who will not play against novices because they are so difficult to bluff.
So, before you enter into a high-cost hand with a bad player, make sure that you have at least a decent hand and you are confident that they don't have anything better.
These are just a few of the quick, more simple ways to take advantage of bad poker players...
