I often hear that you can not "learn" the game of Texas Holdem by playing with free chips at poker site's on the net.

Normally I'd agree with that statement. However, because of it's popularity I find it a great place to learn the game, while playing with free chips. You may have to jump around a little before you find a good room. The reason I say this is because of the fact that you are using free chips, players do not think of it as real loot so they are more carefree with them. Meaning you could find yourself in a hand with the whole room.

Tips:

Be selective when staying in a room. You may find FISH jumping in every hand because of the free chips issue. Remember, poker is a waiting game anyhow, so hurry up and wait.

Be wise with your chips also, you only get 3 reloads of 1000 Chips an Hour. Other site have unlimited rebuy of free chips. Personally I think you are just teach yourself bad habits if you need more than 3000 and hour, so just stay away form them anyway.
